The idea and other things
My name is Carla Bernabeu, I am a dietitian-nutritionist and the current founder and CEO of Ké Water Drinks, a company dedicated to the artisanal production of organic water kefir.
While I was living in Leeds (England) I came up with the idea of taking what we already consumed from home to the world. My mother has always had a little corner in the kitchen dedicated to different fermentations, water kefir arrived in our family more than twenty years ago and we grew up with it. While I was dedicated to developing the business plan in the north of England, my mother dedicated herself from Altea (my hometown and paradise) to growing our granules and carrying out tests until we reached the formulation we have today. So, I pack my bags and go home to fulfill my dream: to be able to contribute to people's well-being, to be able to offer a healthy product that makes us feel good and helps us generate better eating habits.
Since I was little they taught me to fight to pursue my passions, to be constant and persist, to never give up on what really fills my heart.
On September 2, 2022 we inaugurated the first workshop
urban organic water kefir from Spain and now we are working on reaching points of sale to publicize our products and our brand.
We are at Av. La Nucía, 11A, Altea. Every Tuesday. On our street, you have the opportunity to visit our locally fruit and vegetable market, but you can also refill your bottle with Ké Water. It is a way to promote locally consumption, to contribute to the circular economy and sustainability, to teach that 'fermentation' culture and to generate wellbeing.
